Highlights

Explore Umbria’s enchanting landscapes peppered with medieval tales on foot

Catch a glimpse of what life was like in the region of Umbria during the Middle Ages as you trek through rolling landscapes.

Encounter areas rich in history, such as Gubbio and Assisi, two medieval towns layered with tales and ruins.

Enjoy famed Italian culinary delights—cheese, salami, truffles—as well as glasses of Umbria’s local wine.

Trek along the same path that Francis of Assisi frequently walked, where he listened to God's voice and shared his wisdom with villagers.

Embroidered with fascinating tales, ancient medieval architectural wonders, and local delicacies like wine, cheese, and truffles, this self-guided pilgrimage along the Saint Francis Way not only takes you through a pinnacle point in spiritual history but it introduces you to Italy’s quintessential cultural greats in a unique, inspiring way.

Travel past villages—steeped in history—by chapels, hermitages, and rolling landscapes covered by orchards, fields of olives, and woodland as you walk the same path trail blazed by Francis of Assisi, a saint who swapped luxury for Christianity after he heard God ask him to revel in poverty and rebuild the church. This six-day tour encompasses the rich culture of Umbria, a region in Italy, with a spiritual twist.
