Stroll the charming streets of Palermo’s old town on your way to dinner this evening at one of its delightful restaurants. Experience the remarkable fusion of Sicily’s diverse cuisine, known for its Spanish, Greek, and Arab influences.
Today, you'll explore the 3 markets of Ballarò, Capo, and Vuccirìa at your own pace, savouring local specialties like panelle (chickpea fritters) and quarume (veal stew).

Following a beautiful path through the Natural Reserve of Monte Pellegrino this morning, you’ll ride to Mondello, the most famous beach of Palermo. Enjoy its seafront promenade and pristine waters, a welcome experience after covering some ground on bike. Enjoy the famous boiled octopus dish drenched in fresh citrus at one of the beachfront restaurants.
Back on the bike, you’ll ride to the beautiful village of Sferracavello, where you’ll enjoy a delectable waterfront lunch of grilled fish, peppered mussels, sea, urchins or pasta with clams! Buon appetito!
This afternoon, returning to the heart of Palermo, you’ll walk its main street, Liberty Avenue, where you’ll spot some remarkable Art Nouveau buildings.
Following breakfast, a private transfer will take you to the Palermo Mountains, where you’ll discover a fascinating blend of Italian and Albanian culture. Visting the bilingual communities of Piana degli Albanesi, Hora, Arbëreshëvet and Arbëreshë, you’ll get a feel for the diversity of the island of Sicily and its rich cultural heritage.
From the mountains, you’ll follow the tracks of an old railway, making your way to Monreale.
Enjoy a visit to the Cathedral of Monreale before being invited into White Plums of Monreale, the “Slow Food Presidium.” You’ll meet the president of the presidium, who will walk you through tastings of Monreale’s specialty products and enlighten you with the knowledge and history behind the remarkable cuisine.
