It’s no big secret that Argentina’s wine and food are world-class, is it? The Wine and Cuisine Tour of Argentina is a full-on experience in all that’s delicious in this amazing country, and any foodie thinking of South America needs to book their spot.
The Wine and Cuisine Tour of Argentina begins in Mendoza, the perfect starting point for adventures in Argentina’s wine region. Let the rich olive oil made in the city warm up your palate before touring the wineries of the nearby Uco Valley, the heart of local wine production. Between dinners at excellent restaurants and perfectly paired glasses, you’ll be continually impressed by the flavours of Argentina. With city tours in Salta and Buenos Aires and natural tours of the De Las Conchas and Humahuaca gorges, you’ll leave Argentina not only very satisfied, but full of spectacular memories.
Your adventure begins in Mendoza, the perfect gateway to Argentinian wine country. You’ll be picked up at the airport and enjoy dinner in one of the city’s most renowned restaurants.
Mendoza and the surrounding area produce excellent wine and olive oil, and today will focus on both. Visit the local olive oil factory, stop in at a handful of wineries, and enjoy lunch along the way. Today will be equal parts delicious and relaxing!
Note: The regular Wine and Olive tour is available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
In the morning, you’ll depart Mendoza for the nearby Uco Valley, the wine country of Argentina. The altitude and climate of the region contribute to unique flavours, and you’ll visit three emblematic wineries today. Enjoy a delicious lunch with carefully chosen pairings before returning to Mendoza in the evening.
Note: The Uco Valley Experience operates in shared service on Thursdays and Sundays. Salentein Winery and Espacio Killka remain closed on Mondays.
Say farewell to Mendoza and board a flight to Salta, where you’ll take a city tour. Marvel at the gorgeous colonial architecture, churches, and busy streets here. This evening, you’ll make a stop at the High Mountain Archaeology Museum and have dinner at a restaurant dedicated to high altitude cuisine.
Note: The Town Hall and the MAAM close on Mondays. San Miguel’s market closes on Sundays.
Spend the morning exploring Jujuy province, an area defined by unusual rock formations. Get to know the Humahuaca Gorge, a Cultural and National Heritage Site.
Return to Salta at the end of an adventurous day.
Begin the day with a departure to Cafayate, where your first destination is the De Las Conchas Gorge, where wind and water erosion have carved unique shapes into the land. Next, you’ll head to Finca Quara to have a tasting at the local winery and eat lunch made with regional ingredients.
You’ll spend tonight in Cafayate.
Before leaving Cafayate, you’ll make a stop at the Vine and Wine Museum. You can imagine what the exhibitions are about here! You’ll learn to cook empanadas and enjoy some wine with your hard-earned lunch.
Note: The Vine and Wine Museum closes on Mondays.
Later in the afternoon, you’ll drive to the airport and fly to Buenos Aires.
Today is all about Buenos Aires! Visit the top sites in the city, stopping along the way to taste some of the local best- particularly the unexpectedly delicious pizza!
In the evening, you’ll enjoy a gastronomic experience centred around the meat of the Argentinian Asado. Bellies full, you’ll retire to your hotel in the evening.
Note: Fogón Asado Experience closes on Mondays.
On your final day, you can spend your time as you please before it’s time to head to the airport. Adios!

I’ve been using 10Adventures route guides for a while, but had never booked a tour. My wife and I booked a self-guided hike in Greece and were so impressed with how we were able navigate the route without a guide with the detailed and easy to follow itinerary. We enjoy travelling independently, and 10Adventures made that happen.

I’ve adventured around a lot of Canada and the US, but I’ve always wanted to explore other parts of the world. I felt a bit scared before booking my trip to Israel, but my conversations with the team at 10Adventures helped ease any worry. I can’t wait to explore more of the world!

Travel companies have had to go through a lot during the pandemic but 10Adventures were super flexible and accommodating nonetheless. I had to cancel my tour in France due to the pandemic. 10Adventures was great and let me reschedule for a later date!

My wife Sarah and I had a great experience booking our 7-day cycling trip through Portugal via 10Adventures. The communication between us and Nadine leading up the trip was top-notch!

Communicating with 10Adventures feels like talking with a family-run business. I love to explore and travel, and exploring with the comfort of knowing I can talk to the team at 10Adventures with almost immediate feedback helps to ease any stress that comes with adventuring!

Whenever I’m looking for my next adventure 10Adventures never fails. Their routes all over England are my main go to for exploring and I have only had great experiences booking both guided and self-guided trips in Europe and South America with them. I am looking into Africa next.

I just got back from backpacking in the Sierra Nevada, and WOW. What an unreal journey! The alpine meadows, waterfalls, and the lakeside camping spot were memorable highlights! I wonder what other tours 10Adventures has to offer. That one went so well that I am now convinced I need to book another!

I'm not a big fan of traveling because of my fear of flying, but my girlfriend convinced me to go on the Aurora Borealis Tour in the Yukon. I will never forget the mesmerizing northern lights. Such a romantic (and cold) getaway. I would highly recommend it.
