Hiking the Elliston Park Loop is a great way to enjoy the park with small kids or folks who are just looking for fresh air and a quick stroll. The park is the perfect place to stop and relax, enjoy a picnic, and walk around the area. This park is quiet and small and makes for an excellent stop.
Route Description for Elliston Park Loop Trail
Starting at the main parking area for Elliston Park Loop, the trail leaves the main day use area and heads south along the water. The entire trail follows the water’s edge, so you will have no problem following the path. There are some great viewpoints, benches, and play areas along the way.
Continue south before reaching the southern tip of Elliston Lake, curving north along the eastern side of the water. The trail contours and twists along the water, bringing you back to the main parking area. You can shorten this loop to tailor your day to your desired length.
Getting to the Elliston Park Loop Trail Trailhead
To get to the Elliston Park Loop Trail, you will need to join Memorial Drive E and head eastbound to the park. Take a right onto 36 St SE in Radisson Heights, then turn left onto 8 Ave SE. Turn right onto 52 St SE, and then make another left onto International Avenue (17 Ave), then turn right onto 6- St SE, which leads directly to the parking area for Elliston Park.
