Route Description for Neigh Bridge Circular Walk
Although the Neigh Bridge Circular Walk isn’t quite located within the Cotswolds AONB, its short overall distance and proximity to the southern edge of the area means that it can easily be tacked onto a planned walking excursion. The area can become fairly wet and boggy during the spring, so if you are planning an adventure during this time, don’t forget to bring your wellies!
Setting out from the trailhead, you will make your way to the west along the edge of some trees and an open expanse of farmland. Reaching the banks of the River Thames, head south and follow it until you arrive at Neigh Bridge Lake. From here, you will walk around the shores of the lake and take in the beautiful views across the water while relaxing in the tranquil woodland atmosphere. Continuing on to the northeast, you will leave the calm waters of the lake behind and cross over the River Thames, following the road back into the village of Somerford Keynes where you began your adventure.
