The Vineyard Path from St Léonard to Loèche is a wonderful hiking route in Crans Montana that offers some incredible views of surrounding vineyards. The ideal time of the year to discover the vineyard is the months of August and September when the grapes reach maturity on the vigorous vines of the slopes of Flanthey, Corin, Venthône, Salquenen and Varone. These parcels of vines are worked by meticulous winegrowers who ensure that the earth, water, air and sun of the region are found on the best tables on the continent and even overseas.

Route Description for Vineyard Path from St Léonard to Loèche
Setting out from the trailhead, the Vineyard Path - as the name suggests - will take you past the various vineyards that can be found between St Léonard to Loèche. Leaving the village behind, you will make your way to the northeast through the beautiful vineyards that line the banks of the Rhône River.
After steadily gaining elevation throughout the hike, you will make a brief descent before the final uphill push through several vineyards to reach the endpoint of the hike in Leuk Stadt (Loèche). Here, you can spend some time enjoying the pleasant landscape before taking transit back to the starting point of the hike.
Getting to the Vineyard Path from St Léonard to Loèche Trailhead
Exit the A9 motorway at "Sion Est" and follow the signs for St-Léonard.
