For those with an interest in wine production and history, the Wine Press Trail is a great adventure to embark upon in Crans Montana. This route takes roughly an hour to walk and provides information on the history of wine making in Ollon village with 9 informative signs along the way.

Route Description for Wine Press Trail
Setting out from the trailhead, the Wine Press Trail will lead you through the narrow streets of Ollon, allowing you to relive the memories of a village community through their stories and heritage. The granite wine presses along the route, remnants of a time long ago, tell an important part of Valais’ winegrowing history. The trail loops back around through the village to bring you back to the starting point of your walk.
Getting to the Wine Press Trail Trailhead
To reach Crans-Montana by car, take the exit of the A9 motorway (Rhône motorway) called "Sierre ouest". At the motorway exit, turn left and follow the signs for "Sierre". At the roundabout, turn right. Continue for 500 m, then at the entrance to Sierre, turn left following the signs for "Crans-Montana". The journey takes about 5 minutes. Once you arrive in Ollon, follow the signs for the village car park.
