Route Description for Castle, Meadow, and Tower Trails
The Castle, Meadow, and Tower Trails is an exciting adventure that will guide hikers through the beautiful scenery of Mount Falcon Park. Ascend the peak, trek through luxuriant meadows, and explore the Castle’s remains, this path packs a punch. Versatile and easily manageable, if you want to trek this route in the winter months simply swap out your hiking shoes for snowshoes when the snow falls. Be sure to pack plenty of water and charge up your camera, because you are going to want to remember this adventure.
Embark on your journey along the Castle, Meadow, and Tower Trails from the trailhead. From here, track the Castle Trail all the way to John Walker Castle. Revel in the hallow walls of the old ranch that sit atop the mountain and the views of the Front Range foothills. From here, take the Meadow Trail south. This path will expose expansive views of the Denver cityscape in the distance. At the next junction, merge onto the Tower Trail and hike to the summit of Mount Falcon. Admire the vistas of the mountainous landscape and the cityscape from the peak.
Follow the Tower Trail past the Eagle Eye Shelter before confronting another intersection. From here, veer left, reconnecting with the Castle Trail. To get back to the trailhead, simply retrace your footing along the path back to the trailhead.
