Route Description for Hidden Falls via Jenny Lake Shuttle Hike

The Hidden Falls via Jenny Lake Shuttle Hike offers a unique experience. Treat yourself to a scenic boat tour before exploring the wilderness and the striking Hidden Falls. This hike is easy-going and ideal for hikers of all skill levels, including skill levels. Those who do not wish to take the shuttle can travel the Jenny Lake Loop Trail to the Boat Dock Trail on the opposite side of the lake. Note this hike is accessed via the Jenny Lake Shuttle and requires a purchased ticket; check out the shuttle service website for updated pricing. Additionally, the Grand Teton National Park charges an entrance fee; refer to the NPS website for additional information.

After enjoying your scenic cruise across Jenny Lake, take the leftmost trail off the dock, which is signposted as the Boat Dock Trail. From here, the path will divert inland, away from the glacial pool and into the wilderness. When you reach the trail’s end, veer left onto the Jenny Lake Loop Trail, then right onto the South Cascade Creek Trail. This route will begin to more intensely climb through the lodgepole forest adorned with outcrops and through open meadows.

Ascending through the woodlands, you will ultimately reach the junction with the Hidden Falls Trail. The westbound path will deliver you to the base of the Hidden Falls. Likely in the company of dozens of like-minded sightseers, you will be granted impressive views of the 30 m cascade plunging over the craggy rockface. Admire the mesmerizing cascade, then head back the way you came.
