Route Description for Chalton Circular Walk
The Chalton Circular Walk provides amazing views while getting a great workout. One steep gradient will elevate your heart rate, but otherwise, this route remains relatively flat, granting the chance to revel in the expansive countryside scenery. Panoramic views can be seen throughout this path and are full of wildflowers in the spring and summer months. Ensure you are prepared to navigate some stiles and gates along the way: wear comfortable walking shoes.
Setting out from your car, you’ll head back towards the centre of Chalton before turning left to veer in front of Red Lion Pub. At the end of the pub, take a left, walking in the direction of the church’s entrance. Notice the footpath fingerpost on your right and go through the gate. Continue walking along this path in a counterclockwise direction, looping back to where you began.
Getting to the Chalton Circular Walk Trailhead
To get to the Chalton Circular Walk from Waterlooville, get on A3(M) from London Road/A3 and Hulbert Road/B2150 and continue on A3(M) to Chalton Lane. Take the exit toward Butser Hill/Hambledon/East meon/Clanfield/Chalton from A3 and drive to Chalton Lane, and in 2.7 km, you will arrive at your destination.
