The Slindon Estate Circular walk has incredible views spanning 3500 acres that make up the Slindon Estate. The rolling countryside path takes you up to Nore Hill and through gorgeous woodlands full of beech trees. This is also known as Hilaire Belloc’s, famous writer and poet, favourite place on Earth.

Route Description for Slindon Estate Circular Walk
The Slindon Estate Circular Walk takes you on a journey through the Slindon Estate and showcases the beauty of its 3500 acres. Beginning at the Sussex flint village of Slindon, you head towards Bignor Hill and head into the woodlands. You will wander along Stane Street past fields full of sheep. Continue through bunches of beech trees and begin ascending towards Nore Hill.
Once you reach the top of Nore Hill, the breathtaking views will take over, and this is a wonderful spot where you can stop and enjoy a nice picnic as many people who walk this path do. From the top, you can see far across the English countryside and out to the sea. When you have finished, continue along the path until you reach where you began.
Getting to the Slindon Estate Circular Walk Trailhead
To get to the Slindon Estate Circular walk from Slindon, head south on Nore Wood Lane toward Top Road and turn left. In 0.6 km, take Bacombe Lane to A29 and follow A29 to West Burton Lane in Bury. In 6.8 km, continue on West Burton Lane to your destination, which you will arrive at in 4.3 km.
