Kathmandu Sightseeing & Drive to Nagarkot

After your arrival in Kathmandu, a pre-trip meeting at your hotel where you’ll meet your guide, receive a full briefing on the journey ahead, and have the chance to ask any questions.

Following the briefing, your adventure begins with a guided exploration of Kathmandu Valley’s UNESCO World Heritage sites. With your private vehicle and expert guide, you’ll dive into Nepal’s rich spiritual and cultural history.

Start at Pashupatinath Temple, one of the most sacred Hindu sites in the world on the banks of the Bagmati River, where centuries-old rituals continue today. Continue to the peaceful Boudhanath Stupa, where monks and pilgrims circle the massive dome in quiet devotion.

Next, travel to Changu Narayan Temple, one of Nepal’s oldest temples, perched above the valley and filled with intricate stone carvings and ancient artistry. Then explore the medieval beauty of Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a living museum of palaces, courtyards, and timeless Newari architecture.

In the late afternoon, drive to Nagarkot, a hilltop escape known for its sweeping Himalayan views. On clear days, you can witness a vast panorama stretching from Everest to Langtang. As the sun rises or sets over the mountains, Nagarkot delivers one of Nepal’s most unforgettable natural spectacles.

Nagarkot to Chitwan

Early in the morning, you’ll rise to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Himalayas, with sweeping views of the mountain range to the north and the Kathmandu Valley stretching out below to the west, weather permitting.

After breakfast, you’ll depart for Chitwan National Park. Upon arrival at the resort, you’ll receive a briefing from the Guest Relations Officer. Following lunch, you’ll head out for a guided village tour to experience local life and culture. Return to the resort in the evening, where dinner will be served. Overnight at the resort.

Full-Day Chitwan National Park Jungle Safari & Activities

Wake up to a refreshing start with tea or coffee before heading out for your day’s adventure.

Enjoy a peaceful canoe ride along the Rapti River in a traditional dug-out canoe, gliding past riverbanks rich with birdlife and wildlife sightings. Continue your journey with an exciting jeep safari covering around 10 km through the park, offering opportunities to spot rare and exotic animals in their natural habitat.

Chitwan to Lumbini

Today, you will transfer from Chitwan to Lumbini. Upon arrival, you will be taken to your hotel and checked in.

Lumbini, located about 285 km southwest of Kathmandu, is the revered birthplace of Lord Buddha and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This sacred pilgrimage destination draws Buddhists from around the world to the peaceful Sacred Garden, where Buddha was born.

Key highlights include the historic Ashoka Pillar, erected by Emperor Ashoka after embracing Buddhism, as well as beautifully designed temples, monasteries, and stupas built by Buddhist communities from across the globe, creating a serene and spiritually rich atmosphere.

Half-Day Lumbini Sightseeing & Private Transfer to Palpa

Your half-day exploration in Lumbini takes you through one of the most sacred sites in the Buddhist world, where Shakyamuni Buddha was born over 2,500 years ago. As you walk through this peaceful pilgrimage area, you’ll discover ancient ruins, excavated remains of the old city, and centuries of history revealed through ongoing archaeological work.

You will visit the Maya Devi Temple, the exact birthplace of Buddha, where a stone relief depicts Queen Maya Devi giving birth while holding onto a tree branch. Nearby stands the historic Ashoka Pillar, erected by Emperor Ashoka in 250 BC, confirming Lumbini as the Buddha’s birthplace. The surrounding area is filled with ancient stupas, monasteries, and sacred monuments built by Buddhist communities from around the world.

After sightseeing, you will continue your journey with a scenic drive to Tansen, Palpa (approx. 85 km / 3 hours).

Tansen is a charming hill town perched above the valleys, known for its traditional culture, relaxed atmosphere, and panoramic Himalayan views. On clear days, peaks such as Dhaulagiri, Annapurna, Manaslu, and Gauri Shankar can be seen from here. The town is also famous for its Dhaka weaving industry, where you can observe artisans creating the iconic handwoven fabric used for the Nepali topi (traditional cap), and explore local bazaars filled with colorful textiles and crafts.

Palpa to Pokhara

Today, you will depart from Palpa for a scenic drive to Pokhara (approx. 115 km / 5–7 hours). Upon arrival, you will check in at your hotel in the Lakeside area and settle in.

The journey offers a gradual transition from hill towns to the relaxed atmosphere of Pokhara, Nepal’s adventure capital, set against the backdrop of the Annapurna range.

Guided Pokhara Sightseeing Tour

After breakfast, you will explore Pokhara with your private vehicle and professional guide.

Start the day with an early morning visit to Sarangkot, a premier viewpoint offering stunning sunrise views over the Annapurna range, Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchhre, and the Pokhara Valley. After enjoying the scenery, you will descend and return to the hotel for breakfast.

Later, continue sightseeing around Pokhara’s key highlights: Bindhyabasini Temple, a peaceful hilltop shrine; Davis Falls, a powerful waterfall disappearing into an underground gorge; and Gupteshwor Cave, a sacred limestone cave with deep religious significance.

You will then visit Phewa Lake, where the serene waters reflect the surrounding mountains and the iconic Barahi Temple sits on a small island in the middle of the lake. Pokhara to Nayapul, Trek to Tikhedhunga

Your trek begins with a short 1-hour drive from Pokhara to Nayapul by private vehicle. From here, you start walking along the banks of the Modi Khola, reaching the village of Birethanti (1,025 m), a lively settlement with shops and teahouses.

The trail then follows the Bhurungdi Khola, gradually ascending through traditional villages and terraced landscapes. You continue uphill to Hille (1,430 m) before making a short final climb to Tikhedhunga (1,540 m), where you will spend the night.

Today’s walk is a relatively easy introduction to trekking in the Annapurna region, offering a gentle start before the more challenging days ahead.

Trek from Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani

Today’s trek begins with a steep ascent to Ulleri (2,070 m), a large Magar village known for its stone steps and mountain views. From here, the trail becomes more gradual as it winds through beautiful forests of oak and rhododendron.

You continue climbing to Banthanti (2,250 m) and then on to Nangethanti (2,460 m), passing through peaceful woodland sections along the way. The final stretch leads you to Ghorepani (2,880 m), where you will settle in for the night surrounded by stunning Himalayan scenery.

Hike to Poon Hill

Early in the morning, you hike up to Poon Hill (3,193 m) to witness a spectacular sunrise over the Himalayas, offering panoramic views of the surrounding mountain ranges. After spending about an hour at the viewpoint, you return to Ghorepani for a hot breakfast.

From there, the trek continues along scenic ridgelines through pine and rhododendron forests to Deurali (2,960 m). The trail then descends to Banthanti before branching off towards Tadapani, where you will spend the night surrounded by peaceful mountain scenery.

Trek from Tadapani to Ghandruk

From Tadapani, the trail descends through lush forests to Ghandruk, a traditional Gurung village known for its rich culture and heritage. The Gurung people have their own language, customs, and lifestyle, and the village is also closely associated with many Gurkha soldiers.

Ghandruk is a popular trekking destination, offering stunning mountain views and easy accessibility from Pokhara and Kathmandu. In the afternoon, you will have time to explore the village, visit the Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) office, local museums, and experience the authentic mountain culture.

Today marks the end of your trek as you descend to Nayapul. From here, you will take a short drive back to Pokhara.

Today, you will transfer from Pokhara to Kathmandu by private tourist vehicle (approx. 200 km / 7–9 hours).

Upon arrival in Kathmandu, the afternoon and evening are free for you to relax or explore the city at your own pace, including some last-minute shopping or a leisurely walk through the streets.

In the evening, a farewell dinner will be hosted at a fine restaurant, where your guide and our local tour partner will join you. You will also have the option to extend your journey with activities such as rafting, a Kathmandu Valley shopping tour, mountain biking, or other experiences.
