Overview

Experience the Camino Inglés, also known as the English Way, on a self-guided pilgrimage from Ferrol to Santiago de Compostela. This 10-day itinerary has been designed with shorter, more manageable walking stages, giving you extra time to enjoy the villages and countryside along the route while making the journey less demanding physically. Your luggage is transferred between accommodations each day, so you only need to carry a daypack while walking.

The route covers a total walking distance of approximately 114 km across 8 walking days, with an average of 14.25 km per day. Historically travelled by British, Scandinavian, and Dutch pilgrims arriving by sea, the Camino Inglés remains a quieter and rewarding alternative to some of the busier Camino routes.

Your journey begins in the port town of Ferrol and finishes at the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. As the itinerary covers more than 100 km on foot, you will qualify to receive the Compostela upon completing the required pilgrimage credentials. With its shorter daily distances, luggage transfers, and peaceful rural scenery, this itinerary is an excellent option for travellers looking for a more relaxed way to experience the Camino Inglés.
