Day 1 Head to Apurimac

From Cusco, you will head to Apurimac to begin your tour with a rafting adventure. Admire the exceptional views as you dip into the canyon towards the start point of your upcoming river journey. Your guides will inflate the rafts, get your gear ready, and provide a safety talk before you start floating down the river.

Get ready for days of exploring less-travelled-by views as you drift between roaring, exciting Class III and IV rapids and gentle floating periods. During the evening, share stories with your group around the fire and fall asleep to the rush of the water!

Day 2 Enjoy Apurimac Rafting

Wake up to the sun glistening through your tent and start getting excited for another day on the water! Today’s journey may require you to get out and portage depending on the water levels. Look out for some Peruvian wildlife, like torrent ducks, Andean foxes, otters, and maybe condors.

Day 3 Experience Class II and III Rapids

Raft through the incredible Granite Canyon of the Apurimac and enjoy the Class II and Class III rapids on today’s exciting adventure! You may have to portage once or twice today, making for some great stories and memories to reminisce around the campfire at your deserted beach campsite!

When the sun starts to dip behind the canyon walls, you’ll pull into your scenic, riverside campsite for the night.

Day 4 Last Rafting Day

Enjoy a fulfilling lunch on the beach before packing up camp and heading down the river for your final day of rafting. This journey poses some challenges, like boulders, rapids, and portages. Expect the adrenaline to pump!

After, you’ll ditch the camping gear for a relaxing night at a hotel in Sacred Valley. You’ll stay at this hotel for the rest of this tour.

Day 5 Free Day in Sacred Valley

Now that you’ve got rafting out of your system, you’ll have the chance to choose another activity! Take your pick of paddleboarding or kayaking on Lake Huaypo, followed by a trip to the ruins of Moray and Salineras, the stunning terraced salt pans in Maras.

If water sports aren’t your pick of the day, there’s always the option to go hiking. The hiking journey winds to rarely visited Inca ruins in Huchuy Qosqo. You may spot locals tending alpacas, sheep, and llamas en route!

Day 6 E-Biking from Pisac to Ollantaytambo

Experience a pleasant mixture of exercise and leisure today as you ride on your electronic bike from Pisac to Ollantaytambo! You will have the choice to explore Pisac before you get on your bikes and ride. Once you’re on your bike, you’ll ride along a dirt track, winding between local villages and haciendas. Admire the farms set against glaciated mountains.

Refuel with a tasty picnic lunch partway through your journey, then head back to the hotel to relax for the evening.

Day 7 Visit Lares Hot Springs

Spend another day exploring Peruvian scenery via e-bike! Follow a remote road to the stunning Lares Valley, where you’ll descend towards the hot springs. Get off your bike and enjoy a soothing, relaxing medicinal dip while enjoing a tasty lunch.

Depending on your bike battery, there may be an option to go to Abra Lakes, which sits at 4300m above sea level. The ride down from here is fun! Finally, spend the night relaxing at your hotel.

Day 8 See the Incredible Machu Picchu

Are you ready for one of the big highlights of this 12-day tour? Leave your bikes behind and lace up your hiking shoes for an unforgettable journey to the iconic Machu Picchu, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Transfer to the train station early in the morning and enjoy a phenomenal, scenic ride to KM104, where you’ll get out and begin your hike to the famed area. This hike follows the ancient Inca Trail and acts as a preview for the main event. Expect to encounter some Inca ruins en route! But once Machu Picchu emerges into view, you’ll feel like you are in a whole new world.

Go on a walking tour with your guide and learn all about this magical, historical area. In the afternoon, you’ll take a bus to the train station and head back to your hotel.

Day 10 Hike Palccoyo Rainbow Mountain

The day begins with a 2.5-hour drive to Checacupe, where you’ll get a chance to wander around. After, you’ll get back in the vehicle and drive up to the trailhead. This hike may be short, but it packs a punch when it comes to unreal views. You’ll fall in love with the colourful mountains!

Enjoy a delicious packed lunch while admiring the Andes dotting the background before descending via vehicle to your campsite for the night. Savour a three-course meal as the sun paints the sky with golden hues.

Day 11 Kayak Lake Pomacanchis

You’ll get to enjoy two activities today: kayaking and hiking. Start your day with a relaxing kayak on Lake Pomacanchis before packing up camp, getting in the vehicle, and transferring to the trailhead for your hike.

Follow an Inca trail—it’s relatively flat—to Waqrapukara, where you’ll set up camp for the night. Marvel at the Andean Milky Way before you fall asleep to the lullabies of the wild.

Day 12 Final Hike
