This incredible 12-day tour lets you discover the best of Patagonia's natural beauty, the region’s top spots, and hidden gems in comfort and style. Every day has been specifically planned to give you lots of variety while staying in the best hotels and enjoying easy transportation each day. You'll get to see tango dancers in Buenos Aires, stay in remote resorts on secluded islands, and marvel at massive glaciers in turquoise lakes.
Kick back for two nights in the gorgeous Nahuel Huapi National Park, cruising to the Perito Moreno Glacier, seeing the best of Torres del Paine National Park. With a carefully-planned itinerary, private transfers, and top-notch hotels, you'll escape the crowds and be escorted to the most fantastic sights that draw travellers from all over the world to Patagonia. The Explore Patagonia with Upscale Hotels Tour will wow you each day, and these are 12 days you’ll never forget.
Start the tour in Buenos Aires, the capital city of Argentina brimming with charm and historic character. At Ezeiza Airport, a private driver will be waiting for you.
After arriving at your hotel, you'll have free time to explore the city's enchanting streets and impressive architecture. Enjoy a night at the hotel and be ready for the next day's flight.
Today, you'll be transferred to the airport to fly south to Bariloche Airport in Argentinian Patagonia. Bariloche is the gateway to the vast Nahuel Huapi National Park, renowned for its glacial lakes, snow-capped mountains, and superb scenery.
A driver will greet you at Bariloche Airport and take you to your hotel with perfect views of Lake Nahuel Huapi and the Andes Mountains.
After breakfast, you'll cross the lake on a small private shuttle to Isla Victoria, a nature reserve within Nahuel Huapi National Park. Upon arrival, a guide will check you into the Hotel Isla Victoria and show you all the recreational activities you can enjoy. Try horseback riding, kayaking in the lake, and mountain biking, or just stroll along the waterfront.
At dinner, be sure to sample the local Neuquen wines stored in the hotel's own wine cellar.
At midday, you bid farewell to Isla Victoria and travel by catamaran to the touristic town of Bariloche. Known as the Little Switzerland of Latin America (the town offers some excellent chocolate!), Bariloche is perched on the shores of Lake Nahuel Huapi and surrounded by snow-capped mountains, giving the area a resort atmosphere.
If you're feeling adventurous, you can trek to Cerro Campanario for an amazing view of the lakes below.
A private transfer will take you to Bariloche Airport for your flight to El Calafate. Upon your arrival in El Calafate, a driver will greet you and escort you to your hotel for check-in. Located on the edge of Lake Argentino, El Calafate is the best place to see Patagonia's most impressive glaciers.
After settling in at your hotel, you can visit the Glaciarium Museum to learn more about the area's glaciers or explore the pretty town.
In the morning, you'll be picked up at the hotel and taken along Lake Argentino towards the Magallanes Peninsula. From here, you enter Los Glaciares National Park to approach the Perito Moreno Glacier, Patagonia's most well-known glacier. Those who want to see the glacier more closely can join an optional navigation to the southern part of the ice front.
You'll return to your hotel in the late afternoon and have free time to explore the town.
Early in the morning, you'll be transferred to the Punta Bandera pier on Lake Argentino for a 1.5-hour scenic catamaran cruise. You'll pass huge icebergs to reach Brazo Upsala Lake that ends with the Upsala Glacier at the horizon. The boat lands at the Estancia Cristina ranch, and a 4x4 will take you overland to the Matador de los Hellos viewpoint, overlooking the picturesque valley.
Back at the ranch, you'll have lunch and tour the facilities before returning to your hotel in El Calafate.
Today, you take a comfortable bus across the vast plains of the pampas and cross the Chilean border. After reaching the border posts of Cancha Carrera and Cerro Castillo, a private driver will transfer you to your lodge on the edge of Torres del Paine National Park, Patagonia's most famous hiking and trekking destination.
The Estancia Cerro Guido Lodge was once a traditional farming ranch and has been converted into an incredible hotel with uninterrupted views of the Paine massif. Enjoy the view at sunset before heading to bed.
While one day isn't nearly enough to see Torres del Paine National Park, today a private driver will take you to its most legendary sights. You'll admire snowy peaks reflected in placid lakes, the jagged black-tipped granite needles of the Cuernos, and the towering Salto Grande Waterfall.
Follow the blue waters of Rio Paine to the Weber Bridge and the Valley of the Gray Glacier. Tonight, you'll stare in awe at icebergs floating by from the comfort of your lakefront hotel.
This morning, you'll transfer to Rio Serrano for a zodiac tour of icebergs, glaciers, and fjords. Landing near the Serrano Glacier, walk to a nearby lagoon to see icebergs floating by. The boat then takes you to the fjord, where the Balmaceda Glacier stands guard of the valley.
At a nearby local ranch, you'll have an authentic lunch and then cruise to the traditional settler village of Puerto Bories. A private transfer will meet you at the bus terminal to take you to your hotel in Puerto Natales for the night.
It's time to leave Patagonia and return to the city. You'll travel by bus across the Argentine border and arrive at El Calafate, where a private transfer will take you to the airport. From Calafate Airport, you'll fly to Buenos Aires, where a driver will meet you at the airport and take you to your hotel.
A special night has been planned with a traditional tango show and an all-inclusive dinner with drinks. After enjoying local music, dancers, and local cuisine, the transfer will take you back to your hotel at 9pm.
A private transfer will pick you up from the hotel and take you to the airport to catch your departing flight.

I’ve been using 10Adventures route guides for a while, but had never booked a tour. My wife and I booked a self-guided hike in Greece and were so impressed with how we were able navigate the route without a guide with the detailed and easy to follow itinerary. We enjoy travelling independently, and 10Adventures made that happen.

I’ve adventured around a lot of Canada and the US, but I’ve always wanted to explore other parts of the world. I felt a bit scared before booking my trip to Israel, but my conversations with the team at 10Adventures helped ease any worry. I can’t wait to explore more of the world!

Travel companies have had to go through a lot during the pandemic but 10Adventures were super flexible and accommodating nonetheless. I had to cancel my tour in France due to the pandemic. 10Adventures was great and let me reschedule for a later date!

My wife Sarah and I had a great experience booking our 7-day cycling trip through Portugal via 10Adventures. The communication between us and Nadine leading up the trip was top-notch!

Communicating with 10Adventures feels like talking with a family-run business. I love to explore and travel, and exploring with the comfort of knowing I can talk to the team at 10Adventures with almost immediate feedback helps to ease any stress that comes with adventuring!

Whenever I’m looking for my next adventure 10Adventures never fails. Their routes all over England are my main go to for exploring and I have only had great experiences booking both guided and self-guided trips in Europe and South America with them. I am looking into Africa next.

I just got back from backpacking in the Sierra Nevada, and WOW. What an unreal journey! The alpine meadows, waterfalls, and the lakeside camping spot were memorable highlights! I wonder what other tours 10Adventures has to offer. That one went so well that I am now convinced I need to book another!

I'm not a big fan of traveling because of my fear of flying, but my girlfriend convinced me to go on the Aurora Borealis Tour in the Yukon. I will never forget the mesmerizing northern lights. Such a romantic (and cold) getaway. I would highly recommend it.
