Itinerary for Multisport Machu Picchu Tour
Arrive in Cusco
Upon your arrival in Cusco, you will meet your guide at the airport in Cusco and depart for your hotel in Sacred Valley. Along the way you will have the chance to visit the cameloid farm of Awana Kancha, as well as impressive Inca ruins and a local market at Pisac.
After lunch at a local restaurant, you will be dropped off at your hotel in the Sacred Valley.
Lake Huaypo Watersports and Salt Pans
Admire the snow-frosted Vilcanota mountains from either your paddleboard or kayak on Lake Huaypo. You’ll be soaking up the unreal scenery as you paddle. Enjoy a traditionally prepared picnic lunch before heading to Moray’s ancient ruins. But that’s not all! You’ll also visit Salineras, a collection of salt pans.
E-biking among Andean scenery
Day 3 of the tour will begin just outside of the town of Urubamba, travelling along a rarely used dirt road. Enjoy the incredible Andean scenery and glimpses of local communities as you ride.
Arriving in Ollantaytambo, you will spend time with locals and help prepare a traditional meal in the Pachamanca style, before visiting the town of Ollantaytambo for an optional visit to its famous ruins.
Royal Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
Begin your day with a train ride to KM 104 on the Inca Trail, where you’ll get off and commence your walking journey. Pass by the ruins of Chachabamba, through a tropical forest, and ascend above the Urubamba River. After a challenging climb, you’ll reach Wiñay Wayna, a stunning Inca ruin.
Upon arrival in Machu Picchu, your guide will lead you through the remarkable world wonder. Please note that the Inca Trail is closed in February for repairs, but you can still visit Machu Picchu by taking the train to Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon, you’ll take a bus to Machu Picchu town. Transfer to the train here.
Explore Machu Picchu and Sacred Valley Train Ride
Today you will have the pleasure of exploring the ruins of Machu Picchu once again, getting the chance to experience the different sections of the site on a guided tour. You can also choose to visit Huayna Picchu if you opted for the additional extra tour at the time of your booking.
After, you will take a scenic train ride through the beautiful Sacred Valley to arrive at your hotel for the evening.
Cusco Tour and Cooking Class
Day 6 of your tour begins with a morning tour of Cusco’s most impressive ruin, Sacsayhuaman. Afterwards, you will continue on to explore other important cultural and historical sites throughout the city, including San Cristobal Church, Plaza de Armas, the Sun Temple Qoricancha, and a local market.
In the afternoon, you will visit the open air San Pedro market to source local foods, before taking part in a cooking class.
Raft the Rio Apurimac
Bask in spectacular views as you raft the black canyon section of the roaring Rio Apurimac. Raft through a canyon with thrilling rapids, enjoy chilled-out, gentle periods, and stop at a deserted beach for lunch. After, head to Puente Huallpacachaca for cold beverages!
Head to Cusco Airport
On the final day of your Peruvian adventure you will have ample free time to explore the vibrant city streets of Cusco, before transferring to the airport for your departing flight.
