Explore the Inca ruins and scenic masterpieces of the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu
Thrilling adventures and unreal views await on the 8-day Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu Tour! Discover the highlights of the Sacred Valley via a range of outdoor activities like e-biking, rafting, kayaking, and hiking the KM 104 Inca Trail to the World Heritage Site of Machu Picchu. Each adventure will lead you to new incredible natural wonders and ancient ruins.
One of the best parts of the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu Tour is that you’ll stay in one hotel the entire time! So not only do you get to marvel and immerse in different outstanding views and scenery flanking Peru's Sacred Valley, but you don’t have to worry about packing your bags and moving for the entire tour. Kick back in the evening and get out there in the daytime, this Machu Picchu adventure is a trip you’ll never forget!
Meet your guide at the airport in Cusco before a quick drive to your hotel in Sacred Valley.
Before you hop on your e-bike, you’ll stop at Pisac Village to visit some Inca ruins! After the circular walk, you’ll begin your e-bike adventure from Taray, a quaint village. Travel along the unbeaten path as you explore the depths of Sacred Valley. A support vehicle will follow you along, too.
En route to your e-biking start point, you may stop at Ollantaytambo to view the imposing Inca ruins. This area has been dubbed “the living museum.” After, you’ll pick up your e-bike and prepare for a more rugged ride along a dirt road. Enjoy the incredible Andean scenery and glimpses of local communities as you ride.
Today on your Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu adventure, admire the snow-frosted Vilcanota mountains from either your paddleboard or kayak on Lake Huaypo. You’ll be soaking up the unreal scenery as you paddle. Enjoy a traditionally prepared picnic lunch before heading to Moray’s ancient ruins. But that’s not all! You’ll also visit Salineras, a collection of salt pans.
Begin your day with a train ride to KM 104 on the Inca Trail, where you’ll get off and commence your walking journey. Pass by the ruins Chachabamba, through a tropical forest, and ascend above the Urubamba River. After a challenging climb, you’ll reach Wiñay Wayna, a stunning Inca ruin. Upon arrival in Machu Picchu, your guide will lead you through the remarkable world wonder. Please note, that the Inca Trail is closed in February for repairs, but you can still visit Machu Picchu by taking the train to Aguas Calientes. In the afternoon, you’ll take a bus to Machu Picchu town. Transfer to the train here.
Enjoy a relaxing day exploring the Sacred Valley on your own.
Bask in spectacular views as you raft the black canyon section of the roaring Rio Apurimac. Raft through a canyon with thrilling rapids, enjoy chilled-out, gentle periods, and stop at a deserted beach for lunch. After, head to Puente Huallpacachaca for cold beverages!
Get ready to pack your bags and head back to the airport. En route, you’ll stop to admire the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, which also boasts of an impressive viewpoint. The tour ends once you reach the airport.

I’ve been using 10Adventures route guides for a while, but had never booked a tour. My wife and I booked a self-guided hike in Greece and were so impressed with how we were able navigate the route without a guide with the detailed and easy to follow itinerary. We enjoy travelling independently, and 10Adventures made that happen.

I’ve adventured around a lot of Canada and the US, but I’ve always wanted to explore other parts of the world. I felt a bit scared before booking my trip to Israel, but my conversations with the team at 10Adventures helped ease any worry. I can’t wait to explore more of the world!

Travel companies have had to go through a lot during the pandemic but 10Adventures were super flexible and accommodating nonetheless. I had to cancel my tour in France due to the pandemic. 10Adventures was great and let me reschedule for a later date!

Whenever I’m looking for my next adventure 10Adventures never fails. Their routes all over England are my main go to for exploring and I have only had great experiences booking both guided and self-guided trips in Europe and South America with them. I am looking into Africa next.

I just got back from backpacking in the Sierra Nevada, and WOW. What an unreal journey! The alpine meadows, waterfalls, and the lakeside camping spot were memorable highlights! I wonder what other tours 10Adventures has to offer. That one went so well that I am now convinced I need to book another!

I'm not a big fan of traveling because of my fear of flying, but my girlfriend convinced me to go on the Aurora Borealis Tour in the Yukon. I will never forget the mesmerizing northern lights. Such a romantic (and cold) getaway. I would highly recommend it.
