Night 1-4
Pension Levkes in Falatados
This beautiful pension will be your home away from home. Enjoy a shared terrace next to the restaurant and privacy in your comfortable room.
Wander old paths for an idyllic week on tranquil Tinos
Spend a week in tranquillity, walking around the teeny tiny island of Tinos. This lesser-known island is part of Greece’s famous Cycladic Islands, renowned for their classic white houses with deep blue doors and shutters. And, of course, the sparkling Aegean Sea surrounds you at every step. After a week walking on Tinos Island, you will know it like the back of your hand. Only sleeping in two towns, you’ll get familiar with two villages, meeting locals, and finding your favourite restaurants, viewpoints, and alleyways.
While walking around this island, soak up the quintessential Greek scenery. Every village is comprised of a smattering of white buildings, stacked on a hillside, connected by narrow alleys. You’ll visit a couple of villages where the locals produce handicrafts and another where marble is the claim to fame. Enjoy the warm weather, magical sunrises, sunsets, and wander on Tinos Island at your own pace on the Walking Tinos Island Tour.
You made it! You’re in one of the most world-renowned areas of Greece: the Cyclades. Once you arrive on Tinos island, take a taxi to the small village of Falatados in the centre of the island. Be wowed by the smattering of typical white houses hugging the hillside.
Once you settle into your hotel, wander the narrow alleyways, soak up the Greek island vibes and get a taste of the cuisine you’ll enjoy for the next week.
Enjoy a fresh breakfast and decide if you want to embark on a shorter or longer journey today. Both journeys start with a walk to Myrsini village and descent to a dry riverbed that once had the Livada River running through it.
Long: 5 hours, 12.5km, 440m of ascent/descent
Wake up early today to set out for the magnificent Exombourgo Mountain, a rocky outcrop towering over the nearby villages. To reach the mountain, you’ll wander through terraced fields, villages, and see several religious structures.
Stop in a town for lunch for fuel to climb the peak (or after to reward yourself!). Admire Tinos Island’s pastoral landscapes as you walk back to Falatados.
After breakfast, you’ll start today’s walk with a visit to Volax, a traditional village where local artisans produce Tinos’ handicrafts. Adding to the cultural intrigue, you’ll feel like you’re walking on a different planet, surrounded by massive granite boulders.
Continue the circuit to stop in Komi, where stunning terraces and white edifices await. Round out the day by stopping at a few monasteries, then climb and descend to Falatados.
Say goodbye to your beloved Falatados home. Today, you head to a new town just a few kilometres away. You’ll be rewarded with some breathtaking views along the way, and (bonus!) most of the path is downhill. Because it’s not very far, you’ll arrive in Tinos Chora with plenty of time to explore this charming seaside village.
Check out Panagia Church, or if you want some beach time, head to the sparkling sea.
Starting your last full day with a yummy breakfast, head to the marina once you’ve digested to complete a quick circuit around Tinos Chora. Your first break will be in Pyrgos, a village known for its marble craftsmen. Admire the stunning marble steps in town, and visit the marble museum if you want. Sip a coffee on a marble terrace, then continue on old farmer paths dotted with windmill ruins, walk downhill to Panormos and relax on its sandy beach. Return to Tinos Chora for your final night on this idyllic island.
Once you’ve finished breakfast, you’ll get a transfer to the ferry port, where your tour ends. Head off to your next destination full of island memories.

I’ve been using 10A route guides for a while, but had never booked a tour. My wife and I booked a self-guided hike in Greece and were so impressed with how we were able navigate the route without a guide with the detailed and easy to follow itinerary. We enjoy travelling independently, and 10A made that happen.

I’ve adventured around a lot of Canada and the US, but I’ve always wanted to explore other parts of the world. I felt a bit scared before booking my trip to Israel, but my conversations with the team at 10Adventures helped ease any worry. I can’t wait to explore more of the world!

Travel companies have had to go through a lot during the pandemic but 10Adventures were super flexible and accommodating nonetheless. I had to cancel my tour in France due to the pandemic. 10Adventures was great and let me reschedule for a later date!

Whenever I’m looking for my next adventure 10Adventures never fails. Their routes all over England are my main go to for exploring and I have only had great experiences booking both guided and self-guided trips in Europe and South America with them. I am looking into Africa next.

I just got back from backpacking in the Sierra Nevada, and WOW. What an unreal journey! The alpine meadows, waterfalls, and the lakeside camping spot were memorable highlights! I wonder what other tours 10Adventures has to offer. That one went so well that I am now convinced I need to book another!

I'm not a big fan of traveling because of my fear of flying, but my girlfriend convinced me to go on the Aurora Borealis Tour in the Yukon. I will never forget the mesmerizing northern lights. Such a romantic (and cold) getaway. I would highly recommend it.
