Edith Lake Hike
Table of contents
Edith Lake is a pleasant spot with less foot traffic than nearby lakes. The surrounding summits are beautiful and elk frequently dot the shores. Hikers at Edith Lake will also get to enjoy some of the stunning homes that line the lakeshore.
Route Description for Edith Lake Hike
Edith Lake is beautiful and serene, but the hike does involve walking close to some of the lakeshore property. While this might feel a bit strange, hikers have access rights to the lakeshore. That being said, be respectful of personal property and consider keeping dogs close to you. Elk also frequent the lakeshore, so remember to give a wide berth if you encounter them. You can reach the lake by the obvious path from the parking lot. From here, it’s up to you how far to walk along the lakeshore. If you wanted to loop the entire lake, it would take about an hour and clock in at 3.0mi. Keep in mind that there will be some swampy bits and rickety bridges over wet sections on the full loop. Enjoy the blue of Edith Lake and the surrounding mountains, keep an eye out for animal visitors, and enjoy how peaceful the lake is. This trail gets lighter traffic than many other lakes in the area, so you should be able to wander without as many other people around. Once you’ve had your fill, simply retrace your steps along the lakeshore and head back up to the parking lot.Insider Hints for Edith Lake Hike
