Punchbowl Falls Hike

The extremely short Punchbowl Falls trail is well marked and suitable for all abilities. It is a great lookout point near the Pocahontas campground and Miette Hot Springs areas. This route is connected to other trails in the area and can be easily extended. It’s a quick and easy place to stretch the legs if you are passing through.
Route Description for Punchbowl Falls Hike
This short 0.1mi hike is more of a lookout or viewpoint trail than a hike. You likely won’t get your heart rate going here, but it sure is worth the stop. Take some time to stretch your legs part way between Jasper and Miette Hot Springs. From the parking pullout, follow the clear trail into the forest. You will cross a short wooden bridge before reaching the falls. Enjoy the peaceful lookout and return to the car. This trail can be joined with the 1.9mi Pocahontas Trail or the 2.0mi Pocahontas Upper Loop.Getting to the Punchbowl Falls Hike Trailhead
From the town of Jasper, join Highway 16 heading towards Hinton and follow this road for 24.9mi. Turn right onto the well signed Miette Road. Continue on this road until you reach the second parking lot pullout on the right side. There will be signs for Punchbowl Falls.Route Information
