Discover the jaw-dropping scenery of the Atlas Mountains by mountain bike
Embark on a mountain biking adventure to explore some of Morocco's most beautiful and rugged landscapes on the Mountain Bike Tour in the Atlas Mountains. From Marrakech, you'll escape the city and ride deep into the valleys and high plateaus of the Atlas Mountains, with fantastic views of snow-capped peaks and hidden villages the whole way.
The 5-day Mountain Bike Tour in the Atlas Mountains is a challenging but rewarding biking holiday that takes you through top sites like the Imenan valley, Ouirgane National Park, and the Kik Plateau. At night you'll sleep in local guesthouses in Berber villages, sample traditional cuisine, and even soak at a hammam. Enjoy this incredible ride through the rough and rugged landscapes of Morocco!
The tour begins when you get picked up in Marrakech and transfer to Imlil where the riding begins. It's a steep start to the top of the Tizi n’Tamaterte Pass at an altitude of 2300m, with incredible panoramic views of the Toubkal peak and Sublime Mountain.
After taking a break, go off-road to ride along the Imenan Valley through remote Berber villages. You'll spend the night at a local guesthouse in Imlil and experience Moroccan hospitality.
After breakfast, you’ll head out along a dirt road that zigzags through the Azzaden Valley, riding to the Tinzert village perched at the top of the beautiful Ouirgane National Park. The ride today follows an easy trail and dirt roads all the way to Ouirgane National Park, where you can enjoy the spectacular scenery of this region, including lush valleys, lakes, soaring snow-capped peaks, and dramatic stone formations.
Leaving Ouirgane National Park behind, ride down through vast groves of olive trees to reach Tizi Ouzla and enter the Amizmiz Valley, passing many traditional small villages on the way.
You'll follow a smooth dirt road all the way to Ait Zitoune, where you get the unique experience of enjoying a traditional Hammam (bath and steam room) to cleanse yourself after a long day's ride.
Today's ride gives you a nice climb up to the Kik Plateau, a rocky and rugged highland that shows off some of the area's most beautiful scenery. While you pass through the plateau's many small villages, you'll get to meet the local people and their animals surrounded by the inspiring backdrop of the Atlas Mountains.
Ride over the Tizi to get to Asni and spend the night in a guesthouse in the village of Aslda.
Soak up your last moments on your bike as you leave Asni and head back towards Marrakech. You ride from Aslda through Moulay Brahim to reach Tahnaoute, where the group enjoys a great lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, you transfer back to Marrakech where the tour officially ends.

I’ve been using 10A route guides for a while, but had never booked a tour. My wife and I booked a self-guided hike in Greece and were so impressed with how we were able navigate the route without a guide with the detailed and easy to follow itinerary. We enjoy travelling independently, and 10A made that happen.

I’ve adventured around a lot of Canada and the US, but I’ve always wanted to explore other parts of the world. I felt a bit scared before booking my trip to Israel, but my conversations with the team at 10Adventures helped ease any worry. I can’t wait to explore more of the world!

Travel companies have had to go through a lot during the pandemic but 10Adventures were super flexible and accommodating nonetheless. I had to cancel my tour in France due to the pandemic. 10Adventures was great and let me reschedule for a later date!

Whenever I’m looking for my next adventure 10Adventures never fails. Their routes all over England are my main go to for exploring and I have only had great experiences booking both guided and self-guided trips in Europe and South America with them. I am looking into Africa next.

I just got back from backpacking in the Sierra Nevada, and WOW. What an unreal journey! The alpine meadows, waterfalls, and the lakeside camping spot were memorable highlights! I wonder what other tours 10Adventures has to offer. That one went so well that I am now convinced I need to book another!

I'm not a big fan of traveling because of my fear of flying, but my girlfriend convinced me to go on the Aurora Borealis Tour in the Yukon. I will never forget the mesmerizing northern lights. Such a romantic (and cold) getaway. I would highly recommend it.
