For many people finding time for the complete route is a challenge, so this 5-day trek takes you on the eastern half of the route.
This route, from Courmayeur to Chamonix, will take you through 3 countries and discover 3 different cultures in no time. The northern part of our famous Tour du Mont Blanc, with multiple facets: the charm of Courmayeur and Val Ferret as well as the splendid landscapes of Switzerland will amaze you. All this with a light bag and nights in comfortable mountain huts to give you an unforgettable adventure.
Starting in the Chamonix Valley, you take a transfer to Courmayeur, where you begin your trek. Cross famous mountain passes like Grand Col Ferret, or if weather is favourable the Fenêtre d’Arpette, while you get to see villages like La Fouly, Champex, Trient and Le Tour.

Itinerary for 5-Day Guided Eastern Section Tour du Mont Blanc
Transfer to Courmayeur and trek to Bonatti Hut
Meet at 9 a.m. at the Prarion car park, in Les Houches, for a transfer to Courmayeur.
You then climb to the Bertone refuge to enjoy the extraordinary panorama it offers on the Mont-Blanc massif. Breathtaking! End the day with a beautiful balcony crossing to the Bonatti refuge, marking the end of a beautiful stage.
Note that luggage cannot be delivered to Rifugio Bonatti, so you will need to pack an overnight bag on this day.
Over Grand Col Ferret to La Fouly
After a climb with a magnificent view of Mont Dolent, you will pass the Grand Col Ferret to pass into Switzerland. The day ends with a gentle descent towards the mountain pasture of La Peule to reach the small village of La Fouly, a real postcard of Valais.
Through Val Ferret to Champex
Today, discover Val Ferret Switzerland and its small traditional villages to reach Champex and its pretty lake. This stage ends with a short climb to our accommodation for the day, a comfortable inn bathed in a soothing atmosphere.
High Level walk to Trient
After a short transfer in Val Ferret to Champex, you will embark on a beautiful high-level traverse above Martigny and the Rhone valley. In the distance, the vineyards bear witness to the canton’s wine production. Depending on how the group feels and current conditions, there may be an option to take the Fenêtre d’Arpette route and enjoy a beautiful alpine setting. Your guide will make the best decision.
Walk back to the Chamonix Valley
Your last day on the TMB and time to return to France. Views over the Chamonix valley open up on the way down, as you enjoy a final breathtaking moment before arriving at the village of Le Tour, which marks the end of your adventure.

Meals
The guided tour option includes 4 breakfasts, 5 lunches, 4 dinners, as well as some snacks are included on the 5-day Tour du Mont Blanc Tour. Self-guided tour includes 3 breakfasts and 3 dinners in gites or mountain huts along the route, but you can order lunches for an extra charge.
Accommodations
Accommodation for 4 nights is included. Accommodation before and after the tour can be added as a supplement.
Transportation during the Tour
Transportation for your luggage is included during the tour. No other transport is included. The transfer of one piece of luggage per person is provided every day between the different accommodations (except on the evening of day 1 in Bonatti): one soft bag per person, of a maximum of 12kg each (duffle bag type).

Yes, the tour guide is English-speaking. There will often be international as well as French guests on the tour, and the tour guides are multi-lingual. If you are travelling as a self-guided hiker, the information provided will be in English, however, you can also request for it to be in French.
