Route Description for Hard Creek Falls Hike
The Hard Creek Falls Hike is a beautiful hike through the enchanting woodlands to a mesmerizing waterfall. Manageable for hikers of most skill levels and ages, it is important to note that there are steep segments of terrain that demand some sweat—bring plenty of water, and you should be fine! Note this route is shared with bikers and off-roaders, though most choose to hike. Come prepared to share the trail and be mindful of passers-by! As with all sorts of exploration in the area, make sure you are wildlife aware.
Embark on your adventure from the parking area along Hazard Creek Road. Setting out from here, you will be guided southeast to a backcountry campground overlooking Hazard Creek. After crossing over the creek, you will begin your climb into the woodlands, running parallel to Hard Creek. Keep your eye out for wildlife as you climb and enjoy the sights of the vibrant wildflowers adorning the forest floor and the relaxing sounds of the babbling water below.
After some hiking, you will ultimately reach Hard Creek Falls. Marvel at the scene of the hypnotizing waterfalls billowing over the craggy rockface before heading back the way you came to the trailhead.
