Night 1-4
Mackenzie Beach Hotel in Tofino
Relax in a nice and comfortable room, right on Mackenzie Beach. Soak in the outdoor hot tub under the stars each night.
Take the you time you deserve on this 5-day wellness retreat
“Saltwater is the cure for everything,” as the saying goes. This magical wellness experience in Tofino goes above and beyond. It offers saltwater, yoga, surfing, hiking, meditating, and immersing in unspoiled nature. Add to that a menu of thoughtfully planned, locally sourced, plant-based meals, and you have yourself the ultimate wellness retreat. Oh, and there’s an outdoor hot tub!
This tour is your opportunity to wash away the woes of the past. Clear your mind as you take a long walk on the vast sandy beaches in Tofino and practice daily yoga. Reconnect with nature on a boat ride on the salty sea, then hike on Meares Island. Step out of your comfort zone when you try surfing and attempting yoga on a paddleboard. Each day peels a layer of your stress and washes it away. Don’t forget to bring your journal on this trip—epiphanies await you on the Tofino Yoga and Surf Retreat.
To start this wellness tour, you’ll be picked up in either Victoria or Nanaimo and be whisked away to the magical Tofino on Vancouver Island. Settle into your hotel, then head out to the beach for a dinner cook-out. After enjoying your plant-based meal, enjoy a calming yoga class on the beach at sunset. Good things are coming, and this is a heck of a way to kick it off.
Rise and shine to the sounds and smells of the ocean next to your room. Begin the day with meditation on the beach, followed by a healthful breakfast and locally-roasted java. Once you’re nourished, you’ll embark on a quick boat ride to Meares Island to hike the Big Tree Trail, chock-full of old-growth forest and home to one of the largest and oldest trees on the west coast, known as the “Hanging Garden.”
Back in Tofino, you’ll have some free time and can choose to participate in a plant-based cooking class for dinner. After dinner, indulge in a calming yoga practice on the beach. End the day around the campfire, admiring the skies as the stars appear.
Start the morning with sunrise meditation, followed by a nourishing breakfast. Then, surf’s up! Head down to the beach for your surf lesson with a professional—don’t worry, you’ll start on beginner waves.
After surfing, take a long walk on the aptly named Long Beach, appreciating the mystical west coast nature. Return to the hotel for a dinner feast, then challenge yourself to an Ashtanga yoga class. Rest your muscles in the outdoor hot tub tonight.
This morning, you’ll welcome the day with sun salutations on the beach, then over breakfast, you can decide which activities to do before this afternoon. You can either take another guided hike or rent a board and head out into the water to try surfing on your own (or both!). After lunch, test out your balance by attempting to do yoga on stand-up paddleboards. Remember, your poses don’t have to be perfect, and you will probably fall a few times.
Enjoy your last meal together in the evening, then engage in a group circle meditation and goal-sharing session to complete the tour.
Wake up and walk to the beach for a calm morning yoga class. Pack your things, share your contact information with your new friends, and hop in the van for your return transfer to Nanaimo or Victoria. Leave filled with love, grace, and gratitude.

I’ve been using 10Adventures route guides for a while, but had never booked a tour. My wife and I booked a self-guided hike in Greece and were so impressed with how we were able navigate the route without a guide with the detailed and easy to follow itinerary. We enjoy travelling independently, and 10Adventures made that happen.

I’ve adventured around a lot of Canada and the US, but I’ve always wanted to explore other parts of the world. I felt a bit scared before booking my trip to Israel, but my conversations with the team at 10Adventures helped ease any worry. I can’t wait to explore more of the world!

Travel companies have had to go through a lot during the pandemic but 10Adventures were super flexible and accommodating nonetheless. I had to cancel my tour in France due to the pandemic. 10Adventures was great and let me reschedule for a later date!

My wife Sarah and I had a great experience booking our 7-day cycling trip through Portugal via 10Adventures. The communication between us and Nadine leading up the trip was top-notch!

Communicating with 10Adventures feels like talking with a family-run business. I love to explore and travel, and exploring with the comfort of knowing I can talk to the team at 10Adventures with almost immediate feedback helps to ease any stress that comes with adventuring!

Whenever I’m looking for my next adventure 10Adventures never fails. Their routes all over England are my main go to for exploring and I have only had great experiences booking both guided and self-guided trips in Europe and South America with them. I am looking into Africa next.

I just got back from backpacking in the Sierra Nevada, and WOW. What an unreal journey! The alpine meadows, waterfalls, and the lakeside camping spot were memorable highlights! I wonder what other tours 10Adventures has to offer. That one went so well that I am now convinced I need to book another!

I'm not a big fan of traveling because of my fear of flying, but my girlfriend convinced me to go on the Aurora Borealis Tour in the Yukon. I will never forget the mesmerizing northern lights. Such a romantic (and cold) getaway. I would highly recommend it.

Wow! I am so happy with the experience I had with booking through 10Adventures for my tour in Italy! I worked with Nadine and she was super easy-going and helpful when it came to tweaking the itinerary provided on the website. 10/10 would book through 10Adventures again.
