You will spend some time walking on the road, but most of your walk will have you immersed in lovely countryside scenery.

    Route Description for Big Ewelme Circular Walk

    Looking for a decent half-day adventure in the Chilterns? The 20.3 km Big Ewelme Circular grants the chance to spend a few hours immersed in countryside scenery. Enjoy stretches through woodland and farmland while following the undulations! Do note that you will spend some time on the road, so be mindful of fast-moving vehicles. From your car, you’ll head toward the path signposted Britwell Salome before turning right onto the Chiltern Way. Continue making your way around the loop, heading towards Watlington Hill and Christmas Common. After more stretches of woodland, the circuit curves around, taking you back in the direction of your car.

    Getting to the Big Ewelme Circular Walk Trailhead

    To get to the start of the Big Ewelme Circular, head to Ewelme and towards Ewelme High Street. Your walk starts from the Cow Common recreation ground at the top of the street.
