Route Description for Fallen Timbers Trail
If you seek a relaxing, stress-easing, enchanting hike, you need to check out the Fallen Timbers Trail. Located in the Fox Run Regional Park, this path can be ventured year-round by outdoor enthusiasts of all sorts! We love this hike, and we know you will, too, if you give it a shot! Conveniently located near Colorado Spring’s city center, this is a popular urban escape, so we suggest heading out in the early morning to beat the crowds! Note that the paths are not well-signposted, so use the trail GPS to aid navigation.
Embark on your peaceful nature walk along the Fallen Timbers Hike from the Roller Coaster Trailhead. Departing from the trailhead, you can choose to complete this trek from either direction, but we chose to hike counterclockwise on this one. From here, keep right, and you will be diverted northwest along the Fallen Timbers Trail into the magical forestland terrain. Enjoy the sights of the looming pine trees that will make you feel minuscule. As you wander, keep an eye out for deer camouflaging in the woods! Keep right at the first two intersections, keeping along the Fallen Timbers Trail.
At the next two junctions, keep left. Soon you will arrive at a carpark in the center of Fox Run Park. At this point, keep left and hike northeast along the woodland path. From here, continue tracking the Fallen Timbers Trail northeast back to the trailhead.
