Table of contents

Ascending Plain Trail is a 2.8mi hike that sees light traffic. Don't underestimate this trail based on the distance, though. This route is a bit precarious, with very steep sections that are quite exposed. Poles are a must on this hike. The views are nice and mostly feature the forest.

Route Description for Ascending Plain Trail

Asicending Plan Trail does indeed ascend, and quite aggressively. This route might seem relaxed with its modest distance, but some sections are very, very steep. Definitely bring poles.

Beginning from the side of the road, the trail heads up through the forest to the northeast. The beginning is no joke, so take your time. You’ll ascend the ridge and then traverse it, sticking to your left of the top of the ridge. Where the trail ends near the end of the ridge, turn back and retrace your steps.
