You will start this tour with a classic summit near Canmore. The route to Ha Ling is a non-technical hiking route and is extremely popular with locals. In fact, Ha Ling is many peoples first summit in the Canadian Rockies.
After navigating the steep slopes of the craggy peak, you will enjoy a spectacular view of the mountainous landscape, before heading on to Lake Minnewanka and hiking along the shores of this pretty area. The glacial waters are an unbelievably vibrant blue, framed by gorgeous mountains and cover over 20km in length!

Today you have the choice of another summit or visiting a historical tea house with incredible views of the waters below. Either way, today is going to be a great day around Lake Louise.
For those who want to tackle another summit, the view from Mount Fairview is one of the best in the area. This non-technical hiking route is perfect for outdoor lovers, taking you over Saddleback Pass before approaching the final push to the summit.
Alternatively, you can take a hike to the Plain of the 6 Glaciers Tea House. This route goes along Lake Louise before climbing up to the tea house and then beyond for a stunning view of Abbot Pass. For those with energy to burn, the return journey can take you over Big Beehive and down to Lake Agnes Tea House, which has even more pretty views for you to enjoy.

The hiking around Moraine Lake is truly spectacular, so do not forget to bring your camera! Today you will take a lovely walk in one of two beautiful passes. The first option is a hike through Sentinel Pass, a gorgeous trail situated in Larch Valley but with equally wonderful views down into Paradise Valley.
The alternative route begins in the same way but continues to a longer trail to Wenkchemna Pass. This option will take you past the tranquil waters of Eiffel Lake and sees you hike on barren mountain faces and under the shade of ancient pine trees. Both are beautiful trips, and you will end the day with a walk up the rockpile for the iconic view of Moraine Lake no matter which option you chose.

Today is another great day as you start the drive along the Icefields Parkway, one of the most scenic highways in the world. This spectacular driving route winds past ancient glaciers, awesome rock formations and powerful waterfalls.
You will also have the chance to summit another mountain, this time the top of Cirque Peak. It is a long day on the trail, but the rewarding views from the top are like nothing you have seen before. First you will hike through the forest to Helen Lake, before taking a short scramble up to the top of Cirque Peak. If you would rather do a hike that does not require your hands, you can organise an alternative route with your guide!

Get ready for an early start as you set out for the stunning National Park of Jasper. You will take a scenic trail known as the Sulphur Skyline Hike, a steep but rewarding hike that takes in some of the best landscapes that Jasper has to offer. The views from the top are incredible, but our favourite part is a soak in the hot springs afterwards, which feels fantastic after so many days hiking!
The Miette Hot Springs are right at the base of the trail, so you can go straight from the spectacular mountain landscape to a soothing dip in the natural thermal waters. Ease your aches and pains as you lay back in the steamy pools and feel your worries melting away.

Your last day of hiking takes you to the pretty Maligne Lake. Here there are two great hikes, the hike through the Opal Hills or the hike up the Bald Hills. Based on how you are feeling you can choose one or the other. Of course, we are in the Rocky Mountains, so you are guaranteed delicious fresh air and ridiculously good views no matter which option you go for.
After this final day exploring the outstanding natural beauty of Canada’s National Parks, you will enjoy a final meal with your group and guide. The week will have flown past and it will be hard to say goodbye to the pristine wilderness of the Rockies!

Your guide will be sad to see you go but will make sure you get to your next destination safely. You will be dropped off at either Calgary or Edmonton depending on your onward travel plans. I’ve been using 10A route guides for a while, but had never booked a tour. My wife and I booked a self-guided hike in Greece and were so impressed with how we were able navigate the route without a guide with the detailed and easy to follow itinerary. We enjoy travelling independently, and 10A made that happen.

I’ve adventured around a lot of Canada and the US, but I’ve always wanted to explore other parts of the world. I felt a bit scared before booking my trip to Israel, but my conversations with the team at 10Adventures helped ease any worry. I can’t wait to explore more of the world!

Travel companies have had to go through a lot during the pandemic but 10Adventures were super flexible and accommodating nonetheless. I had to cancel my tour in France due to the pandemic. 10Adventures was great and let me reschedule for a later date!

Communicating with 10Adventures feels like talking with a family-run business. I love to explore and travel, and exploring with the comfort of knowing I can talk to the team at 10Adventures with almost immediate feedback helps to ease any stress that comes with adventuring!

Whenever I’m looking for my next adventure 10Adventures never fails. Their routes all over England are my main go to for exploring and I have only had great experiences booking both guided and self-guided trips in Europe and South America with them. I am looking into Africa next.

I just got back from backpacking in the Sierra Nevada, and WOW. What an unreal journey! The alpine meadows, waterfalls, and the lakeside camping spot were memorable highlights! I wonder what other tours 10Adventures has to offer. That one went so well that I am now convinced I need to book another!

I'm not a big fan of traveling because of my fear of flying, but my girlfriend convinced me to go on the Aurora Borealis Tour in the Yukon. I will never forget the mesmerizing northern lights. Such a romantic (and cold) getaway. I would highly recommend it.
