Discover the peak highlights of the Yosemite Valley on this 4-day hiking tour
Explore the highlights of the magnificent Yosemite Valley on this 4-day hiking tour. Your expert wilderness guide will lead you on- and off-trail to the valley’s most incredible vantage points. For landscape photographers, this is your weekend tour!
Start the tour at the Upper Pines Campground, where you’ll meet your guide and group and settle in for your first night. You will spend the next three days hiking along some of the most stunning trails the Yosemite Valley has to offer. Walk along Mist Trail to find the waterfalls and observe the views of surrounding Sierra Nevada mountains. While you’re not hiking through the gorgeous landscapes, you’ll be served up some delicious backcountry meals prepared by your guide. On the last day, the group will reach the base of both Yosemite Falls and El Capitan, two massive feats of nature that will take your breath away when you stand before them.
Treat yourself to a long-weekend hiking getaway deep in the heart of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Get your blood pumping while appreciating this stunning protected land, learning about geology, and sleeping comfortably in the Great Outdoors.
Please check out this blog to find out more about the COVID-19 precautions during the tour.
Welcome to Yosemite National Park! Find your way to the Upper Pines Campground by 5pm to meet your guide and your group. Your guide will discuss the days ahead; then you’ll enjoy a hearty meal around the campfire, or unforgettable stargazing if the campfires are restricted. If the group wants, you can take a short walk to the nearby Merced River before snuggling up in the tent for the night.
Enjoy a filling breakfast prepared at camp by your guide, then head out for a fantastic morning hike. Spend the first part of the day exploring the well-known Mist Trail that leads to Vernal, Nevada, and Illilouette Falls. Have lunch next to the Merced River, then return to camp. In the afternoon, follow your guide to the eastern part of the valley, admiring the land formations and learning about the local flora and fauna. Hike to a vantage point to witness a phenomenal sunset over Half Dome. Return to the Upper Pines Campground for a well-deserved dinner and rest.
Prepare for some epic panoramic views today. After an early breakfast, set out to reach Glacier Point lookout. From this point, dramatic landscapes of the famous Yosemite peaks line the horizon: El Capitan, Half Dome, Yosemite Falls, and the Clark Range. You’ll have plenty of time to snap hundreds of photos. The view never ceases to amaze. Continue to the South Rim of the valley to Taft Point, which offers superb views of El Capitan. The fun doesn’t stop here—keep hiking to summit Sentinel Dome where you’ll see breathtaking 360-degree views of the High Sierra and Yosemite Falls. Return to camp for your last night under the stars.
After enjoying breakfast and some hot coffee or tea, your guide will lead you to the western end of the valley. Here, you will get up-close to the tallest waterfall in North America, Yosemite Falls, towering off the cliff at 739 m / 2,425 ft. Any climbing enthusiasts will be interested in the next stop at the base of the enormous El Capitan (the rock face featured in the movie Free Solo). Your guide will discuss the geology of the area while you try to spot climbers and learn that it takes 3.5 days on average to climb the face of El Capitan. You can rest your hands on this majestic granite beast before returning to the trailhead by the afternoon. Bid farewell to your group and guide and continue onto the next leg of your journey.

I’ve been using 10Adventures route guides for a while, but had never booked a tour. My wife and I booked a self-guided hike in Greece and were so impressed with how we were able navigate the route without a guide with the detailed and easy to follow itinerary. We enjoy travelling independently, and 10Adventures made that happen.

I’ve adventured around a lot of Canada and the US, but I’ve always wanted to explore other parts of the world. I felt a bit scared before booking my trip to Israel, but my conversations with the team at 10Adventures helped ease any worry. I can’t wait to explore more of the world!

Travel companies have had to go through a lot during the pandemic but 10Adventures were super flexible and accommodating nonetheless. I had to cancel my tour in France due to the pandemic. 10Adventures was great and let me reschedule for a later date!

My wife Sarah and I had a great experience booking our 7-day cycling trip through Portugal via 10Adventures. The communication between us and Nadine leading up the trip was top-notch!

Communicating with 10Adventures feels like talking with a family-run business. I love to explore and travel, and exploring with the comfort of knowing I can talk to the team at 10Adventures with almost immediate feedback helps to ease any stress that comes with adventuring!

Whenever I’m looking for my next adventure 10Adventures never fails. Their routes all over England are my main go to for exploring and I have only had great experiences booking both guided and self-guided trips in Europe and South America with them. I am looking into Africa next.

I just got back from backpacking in the Sierra Nevada, and WOW. What an unreal journey! The alpine meadows, waterfalls, and the lakeside camping spot were memorable highlights! I wonder what other tours 10Adventures has to offer. That one went so well that I am now convinced I need to book another!

I'm not a big fan of traveling because of my fear of flying, but my girlfriend convinced me to go on the Aurora Borealis Tour in the Yukon. I will never forget the mesmerizing northern lights. Such a romantic (and cold) getaway. I would highly recommend it.

Wow! I am so happy with the experience I had with booking through 10Adventures for my tour in Italy! I worked with Nadine and she was super easy-going and helpful when it came to tweaking the itinerary provided on the website. 10/10 would book through 10Adventures again.
